Vedic Astrology – known as Jyotish, meaning “the science of light” – forms part of the broader tradition of Vedic wisdom, alongside yoga, meditation and svādhyāya – the practice of self-study and self-inquiry. While yoga and meditation offer ways of exploring our embodied and inner experience, Jyotish can provide a symbolic framework through which we reflect upon the patterns and themes of our lives. Rooted in the wisdom of the Vedas, Jyotish can be approached not as a means of predicting a fixed fate, but as a tool for svādhyāya: an invitation to look more deeply at ourselves, the patterns we encounter and the choices available to us. Used in this way, the birth chart becomes less a statement of who we are destined to be and more a reflective map that can support awareness, personal agency and transformation.

In my counselling practice, Vedic Astrology is offered, if requested, as a tool to deepen self-reflection and personal insight. It can help us explore:

  • Emotional and behavioural tendencies
  • Inner resources and life challenges
  • Times of transition or uncertainty
  • Long-term patterns that may be calling for attention

Rather than offering fixed predictions, I use Vedic Astrology to provide a symbolic language for deepening self-understanding. It invites a sense of perspective—on where you’ve been, where you are, and the qualities you may wish to develop.

If you feel drawn to this approach, I offer the option of integrating Vedic Astrology into our work together. This may involve:

  • A personal chart reflection based on your date, time, and place of birth
  • An exploration of key themes relevant to your therapeutic journey
  • Awareness of current planetary cycles (dashas and transits) that may be influencing your emotional landscape and experiences

Readings are offered within the context of counselling—always in a client-centred way, with care, consent, and respect for your personal beliefs and autonomy.

This approach is not about prediction or prescribing outcomes. Instead, it’s a supportive, non-judgemental lens that honours your lived experience and your innate capacity for growth and change. Your inner wisdom leads the way—astrology simply offers another mirror for self-awareness and self-reflection.

Whether you are curious about your emotional patterns, in the midst of life change, or simply drawn to alternative forms of insight, Vedic Astrology can be a meaningful companion on your healing path. Like yoga and meditation, it invites you into deeper alignment with your true nature.

If you’d like to explore this offering, you’re welcome to mention it in your initial consultation or reach out with questions. This is always optional and guided by your comfort and interest.
